Grand Canyon Painting Trip (Part 2)

A little belated, but here are the other pieces from my trip up to the Canyon last month.

First up is a little snow scene from the north rim. The sun was nearly down at this point, and a snow storm was moving in. The north rim was starting to disappear in the haze.

Next up is an 8x10 I painted in Oak Creek Canyon. I love driving the 89 down from Flagstaff to Sedona. It winds and loops around, and you are surrounded by tall cliff walls and red rocks. There was still a little bit of snow on the south sides of the mountains, but just about everything else had melted already. The air was crisp, and there was a cold blue haze in the atmosphere. Just about all of my mixtures had a little Cerulean blue mixed in.
